Larne girl’s lunch-time brush with a legend

A young Larne girl had an extra lunch-time treat when she met a four-time Olympic gold medallist at the weekend.

Charlene Evans and daughter Eva were dining at the Curran Court Hotel on Saturday, which was also playing host to Sir Mo Farah who was in town for the Antrim Coast Half Marathon.

Eight-year-old Eva spotted the famous visitor who duly obliged when she asked for a ‘selfie’ with him.

Sir Mo was the star of the half marathon, crossing the finishing line in an allcomers record time of 60:27. Read more about the race here
