One dog attack on a person in Londonderry during November

ONE person was reported attacked by a dog in Londonderry in November according to Derry City Council statistics.

A breakdown of statistics in relation to dog control shows there were 61 stray dog complaints and 23 instances of fouling during the same month.

Twenty-nine stray dogs were impounded, 16 reclaimed, 5 sold/rehomed and 26 were put down humanely.

During the month 24 fixed penalty notices were served and 14 neutering vouchers were issued, according to the latest council figures.
