Nicholl murder trial set to begin
THE trial of a Larne man accused of the murder of father-of-two Kenny Nicholl is due to begin on Monday.
Troy McAuley, 37, of Herbert Avenue, is accused of killing Mr Nicholl – who lived in the same street – on a date between October 31 and November 3, 2008.
The body of the 29-year-old was found in an alleyway between Herbert Avenue and Waterloo Road. The victim, who worked as a welder at Ballylumford power station, had been stabbed several times. McAuley has denied the offence.
