New CAB service for Garvagh

THE Department for Social Development (DSD) has offered extra funds to Coleraine Borough Council to support additional generalist advice services for a period of three months.

With this extra funding Causeway CAB are going to offer a Pilot Advice Service in Garvagh for the three month period, starting in January.

The Outreach will be in the GADDA building every Thursday from 2.00 to 5.00pm beginning on January 3rd 2013 and ending on March 28th.

The Advice Worker will provide advice over a range of subjects including Welfare Benefits, Disability Benefits, Community Care, Employment, Housing, Debt, Consumer, Taxes, Education, Health, Relationships, etc.

In addition, from Saturday, January 5 the Bureau will be providing advice on a Saturday with a telephone service operating from 10.00 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 4.00. There will be drop-in from 10.00 to 12.00. No appointment necessary.

The Bureau will also take appointments for DLA, ESA50 and Attendance Allowance form completion.

This additional service will be available until Saturday March 30th.
