Man stopped in Ballymoney with £30k herbal cannabis

Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have arrested a man and seized a large amount of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £30,000 after a car was stopped on the Frosses Road in Ballymoney this afternoon, Monday 15 February.

The 42 year old suspect was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B controlled drug and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply. He is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Alan Pyper said: “This pro-active police operation has removed a sizeable amount of illegal drugs and prevented potential harm to many people.
