A 20-year-old man has been returned for trial to Craigavon Crown Court on charges which include escaping from police custody.

Andrew Gray, whose address was given as Main Street, Waringstown, appeared last Friday at a preliminary enquiry at the local courthouse.

The charges against him allege that on November 7 last year he escaped from lawful police custody and criminal damage to a window and assault on a constable on November 6.

He was returned on his own bail of £300 to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on May 19.
