Though Lurgan town had the majority of serious collisions, the interactive map outlined the Tullygally/Taghnevan area as a hotspot for accidents.

Almost 80% of the people killed on the province’s roads over the last two years were male and almost 25% were young men aged between 17 and 24.

The large gender imbalance among crash casualties has been revealed by the investigative news website, The Detail. It analysed statistics it obtained from the PSNI, under the Freedom of Information Act.
