Jemma Tosh is originally from Finvoy Road in Ballymoney and received her education at Dominican College in Portstewart.

In 2005, Jemma was awarded First Class Honours for her B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Liverpool, Chester College.

Regent’s College London conferred her Postgraduate Certificate in Counseling and Psychotherapy in the same year.

Jemma is a committee member of the Psychology of Women Section of the British Psychological Society, contributing as an Assistant Editor for the Psychology of Women Section Review and as the General Assembly Representative.

She has previously served as a Committee Member for the Division of Clinical Psychology (North West Branch) between 2009 and 2012, and is also a Section Editor for the Encyclopedia of Critical Psychology, and Guest Editor for a Special Issue of the Annual Review of Critical Psychology on gender and sexuality.

Jemma is a member of the Discourse Unit: Centre for Qualitative and Theoretical Research, having delivered several research seminars to fellow members and postgraduate students.

She was a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for the Study of Gender, Social Inequities and Mental Health at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver in 2011 and is currently writing her first book due to be published in 2014

Jemma is currently living in Sale, Manchester and is a lecturer at University of Chester where she teaches research methods with a particular focus on qualitative analysis.

Jemma teaches research methods with a particular focus on qualitative analysis. Her research interests include a broad range of topics related to gender, sexuality, and sexual violence.
