Lisburn dental practice takes on ice water challenge for Motor Neurone Disease

C D Fair Dental from Lisburn supported the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association by doing the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Following in the frozen footsteps of David Beckham, Justin Timberlake and Steven Gerrard, C D Fair Dental is trying to raise awareness of this terrible disease.

Colin Fair said: “We were refreshed and ready for anything after meeting the challenge on Friday lunchtime! We are happy to donate to the Motor Neurone Disease Society to support their work and to raise awareness of this disease.”

MND is a rapidly progressive and fatal disease, which can affect any adult at any time and attacks the motor neurones that send messages from the brain to the muscles, leaving people unable to walk, talk or feed themselves.

Denise Davies, Head of Community Fundraising at the MND Association, said: “Without the amazing support of people like C D Fair Dental the MND Association simply would not be able to provide it’s vital support services and fund research to find a cure.

“Together we are making a real difference for people affected by this devastating disease.”
