‘Light up a Life’ at Civic Centre

ANYONE wanting to remember a loved one this Christmas should attend the annual Southern Area Hospice Light up a life service at Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre on December 7.

Hosted by the Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Carla Lockhart, this is an opportunity for anyone who wants to remember loved ones by sponsoring a light on the Christmas Tree which burns brightly through the festive season – with proceeds to the Southern Area Hospice.

This wonderful event starts at 12 noon with a stunning carol service from St Mary’s High School Choir Lurgan with short contributions from hospice officers and their Friends Support Group. This is followed by complimentary tea/coffee and mince pies. There’s also an opportunity to buy a variety of Christmas cards and candles.

“This is a very personal event,” said Mayor of Craigavon Councillor Carla Lockhart. “A time for remembering lost loved ones at this very poignant time and to raise some vital funds to support the exceptional work of the Southern Area Hospice.

“So please come along, enjoy the singing and make a donation to this very worthy cause whilst remembering a loved one this Christmas.”
