Grin and ‘Bear’ it

INTREPID adventurer and Chief Scout of the UK Scout Association, Bear Grylls met up with Castlerock and Coleraine scouts for a Big Lunch last week.

Bear dropped in on the Beaver Scouts Rally Day at Crawfordsburn Scout Centre last Saturday, where Beaver Scouts from across the province, including those from the 1st Coleraine and 1st Castlerock Beaver Scout Colonies, gathered together to enjoy food, friendship and fun as they hosted their very own Big Lunch.

Colin Lammey, Chief Commissioner of Scouting for Northern Ireland commented: “The Scouts are excited to help raise local awareness for The Big Lunch. It’s a great way for the fun of Scouting to be shared with a wider audience, and for our young people and the volunteers who work with them to play a really active part in their local communities throughout the UK.”
