Good Friday trouble inPortrush

And, in the wake of a series of incidents the PSNI has launched an appeal for information.

At approximately 6.15pm on Good Friday whilst attending a report of youths drinking on a golf course a 15 year old male was arrested on suspicion of disorderly behaviour and assault on police.

He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

At around 7.10pm police received a report of a male having been assaulted at the train station in Portrush.

As a result three males aged, 16, 17 and 18 were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The 16 and 17 year old were street bailed and the 18 year old was released on bail pending further enquiries.

At approximately 7.30pm police arrested two youths aged 15 and 16 following a disturbance at the train station at Portrush.

The 15 year old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and he was street bailed pending further enquiries.

The 16 year old male was arrested on suspicion of disorderly behaviour, assault on police and resisting arrest.

He was released on bail pending further enquiries.
