Hide AdMonday night’s episode revealed the structure to have been a sept, constructed by the followers of religious leader Septon Ray, played by Lovejoy and Deadwood star Ian McShane.
At the end of the episode, McShane is seen hanging from the wooden structure after the group is attacked.
The local filming location featured prominently due to the reintroduction of character Sandor Clegane, known as The Hound and played by Rory McCann, who was thought to have died in the previous series.
Meanwhile, fan favourite Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams, was pictured jumping into Carnlough Harbour after being stabbed by her nemesis The Waif.
Last seen bleeding and limping away from the water, viewers have been left unsure as to whether Arya was fatally wounded.
