Four-month ban for no insurance offence

A 31-year-old man currently serving a prison sentence was given a four-month driving ban last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

David Michael Quinn, HMP Maghaberry, was also fined £300 for no insurance on November 11 last year.

The court heard that he was stopped while driving in Drumgor Heights and checks showed no valid insurance.

His solicitor added that the insurance had been cancelled because of a non-payment and Quinn, who had been out of the country at the time at a wedding, did not realise there were not sufficient funds in his account to cover the payment.
