Firm gains tech award

A LONDONDERRY technology firm has received a Northern Ireland Rising Star award from business advisory company Deloitte for its impressive increase in turnover over the past three years.

Deloitte, has announced that city-based firm Learning Pool Ltd, an e-learning provider for the public sector, picked up the Rising Star accolade for the second consecutive year.

This category recognises younger companies with the fastest growth in turnover over the past three years.

County Londonderry firm – Lucid Interactive Ltd - has also been ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 awards, marking the best ever showing by the region since the Deloitte Fast 50 listings began.

Congratulating the local winners of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme, David Crawford, Partner with Deloitte, Belfast said: "In spite of the challenging financial market conditions, the 2010 Deloitte Fast 50 shows that local technology companies are continuing to show impressive growth.
