Exposed himself in changing room at pool

Vergil Covaciu, Tandragee Road, Portadown, admitted that on July 28 this year he intentionally exposed his genitals intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress.

The court heard that the defendant went into the female only changing room at Cascades Leisure Centre and exposed his penis.

Police arrested him at the scene and he denied the offence.

At a later date when he was interviewed by police and statements from the victims were put to him he said he knew he had gone into the women’s toilet and that his penis was exposed. He didn’t know why he did it.

District Judge, Mrs Bernie Kelly, said that a pre-sentence report was definitely needed in the case and adjourned the matter until November 2.
