Essential work at Blackhead Path

The short term works were to enable the re-surfacing of Blackhead car park and were scheduled to last until yesterday (Wednesday), according to Carrickfergus Borough Council.

Following rockfall concerns earlier this summer, the path network affected is still closed.

However, the local government authority says it is in the process of appointing a specialist contractor to carry out a detailed analysis on the rock face.
