Council apologises after ‘short notice ‘ closure of Sullatober recycling centre

Carrickfergus residents are advised Sullatober Household Recylcing Centre will shut this afternoon (Thursday) to allow for essential works.

In a social media post, Mid and East Antrim Borouigh Council said the closure “at short notice” will take effect from 2pm before reopening again on Friday, September 10, at 9.00am.

Council added; “If you have made an online booking between 2pm – 7pm on Thursday 9 September, you will now not have access to the site.

“No new bookings can be made during this temporary closure.

Council says the closure is to allow essential works.

“Please go online and book the next available slot convenient to yourself.

“We apologise for the inconvenience.”
