The cheque was presented to Fionnuala Savage from Dementia NI.

Fionnuala said: “Each and every day, Dementia NI staff and members are overwhelmed by the support of individuals and groups right across Northern Ireland.

“The Gateway Club held a karaoke night for Dementia NI and had a singing success raising a phenomenal amount of money for Dementia NI.

“We cannot thank you enough for every generous donation, energy and enthusiasm you show in making a difference for people living with dementia.”

Dementia NI was established in 2015 to “provide a voice for people who are living with a diagnosis of dementia and to reach out to others who have dementia”.

The group aims to support people living with dementia to lobby and raise awareness of dementia.
