Daniel's acoustic cafe raises mission funds

Part of the funds will go to support a trip he is co-leading to Romania in July, taking Lisburn youth club Exodus.

The remainder of the funds will go towards Hello Life Banbridge - a ministry that seeks to serve the community in a variety of ways such as running five-day clubs in local estates, visiting nursing homes and carrying out practical work in houses.

This is run through Bible Centred Ministries Northern Ireland, and the group will be working out of Banbridge Baptist from July 10-16.

Daniel said: “Both causes have the same purpose - to spread the gospel and show the love of God to all we come in contact with. So am very excited about my summer.”

The acoustic cafe took place on Saturday, April 2 with over 100 people attending.

“The cafe was packed and it produced such a great community atmosphere,” said Daniel.

“It was lovely to see so many people come together in an awesome venue and just chill with a coffee and live music.

“The artists ranged from friends who give up their time through to local artists who have made it big, like Daniel Duke who traveled over land and sea to be there. All were amazing and played for free.

“The night finished off on a high with local jazz band Temporary Human.

“A massive thank you to all the acts, Susy Good, Amy Montgomery, Heather Vient, Jessie Anderson, Johnny James, Heather Veint, Daniel Duke and Temporary Human.

“Also to The Garage Project, a cinematography company from Banbridge who came and made an epic video of the night, Johnny Frazer photography who managed to capture the priceless moments and the blend and batch staff who are alway so pleasant.”
