Cygnets shot at Reservoir in Coleraine

Police received a report on Monday 08 September, that 5 cygnets had been shot and killed.

It was reported that a number of men were seen shooting in the area of the reservoir last week.

Appealing for information, Sergeant Billy Smith said: “Police would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact them in Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
