PSNI appeal for information after graffiti on the Walls

Police in Londonderry are asking local people to report any incidents of graffiti being painted on the city’s historic walls.

Appealing for information, Sergeant Cathal Pearce, of the City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team, said that on Sunday afternoon, police received a report that graffiti had been daubed on the walls at Society Street, close to St Augustine’s Church, as well as at the Verbal Arts Centre.

Sergeant Pearce said: “While the graffiti was not political or sectarian, it undoubtedly spoils one of the city’s great landmarks.
