Police in appeal to public to help solve burglaries in city

DETECTIVES in Londonderry are appealing for information about recent burglaries in the district.

Sometime between the evening of Friday, September 5, and Sunday afternoon, a wallet was stolen from a house at Elaghmore Park in the Galliagh area.

On Monday morning, September 8, residents of a house at Ebrington Park discovered that it had been burgled while they were on holiday. A sum of money was stolen

And on Wednesday last, September 3, a sum of money and three gold rings were stolen from a house at Culmore Point. The house was entered between 9am and 4.30pm.

Detective Inspector David McQuade appealed for information about the incidents, and has also urged householders to take stock of their home security.
