Man in court on murder charge
A Ballymena man has briefly appeared in court charged with the murder of Denise Dunlop.
Richard McAuley (41) whose address was given as Townhill Road, Portglenone is accused of stabbing the 32 year old mother of two to death. It is understood the pair had been partners.
The body of Ms Dunlop, of Centuripe Avenue in the town was found in early hours of Sunday morning at her home.
A police officer told Coleraine Magistrates Court that they could connect McAuley to the charge.
McAuley was remanded in custody to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court via video link on July 10.
