A Magherafelt man has pleaded guilty to a charge of going equipped for burglary.

Pior Mariuz Nowak (37), of Mullaghboy Close, is accused of having tools, mask, a bag, drill bit, and gloves in connection with a burglary on January 26 last year.

After the charge had been put to the defendant, a defence lawyer suggested a pre-sentence report would be required before dealing with the matter.

Deputy District Judge Noel Dunlop acceded to the submission, and adjourned the case until February 17 for a report.
