Lough Neagh Rescue charity box stolen from restaurant

Police are investigating the theft of two charity boxes, including a Lough Neagh Rescue collection box, from a restaurant.

The incident, which was reported to officers after the boxes were found in the Ulster Street area of Lurgan by a member of the public.

It is thought they were taken from an eaterie in the town’s William Street.

Const. Gareth Gordon said: “The Lough Neagh Rescue and TACA charity boxes were found beside factory premises. It is believed they were stolen from a restaurant in William St.

“I would appeal to anyone who can help with our enquiries to ring the 101 number, quoting reference number 30610815. Or information about crime can be passed via the Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
