Information wanted after Newry Road crash

POLICE in Banbridge are appealing for information following a two vehicle collision on Newry Road on Saturday, 3 March.

Between 5.10pm and 5.30pm two vehicles, a Toyota Avensis and black Volkswagen Golf, were involved in a collision just opposite the entrance to The Limes. Five males travelling in the Golf fled the scene with four making off towards Banbridge and one making off along Newry Road in the direction of the old shoe factory.

Police arrested a 21 year old male on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol, driving without due care and attention and other offences. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
