Class A drugs located after vehicle searched in Newtownabbey

Police officers arrested a motorist in the Glengormley area yesterday (Monday) for drug offences and driving whilst unfit.

Detailing the incident in a post on the Police Antrim and Newtownabbey Facebook page, a Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesperson said: “Whilst on patrol of the Glengormley area yesterday evening (December 19), we noted a vehicle driving at speed.

"This was stopped, searched and a quantity of Class A drugs were found.]

"The driver was arrested for drug offences and driving whilst unfit.”
