Council increases leisure income

DERRY City Council has increased its income from leisure services by over £400,000 over the past five years.

Last year the Council raised 1,421,974 providing leisure services. This was an increase on the 1,068,660 raised in 2008/9 and a substantial increase on the 989,111 leisure income generated in 2005/6.

Environment Minister Edwin Poots revealed details of the revenue in response to an Assembly Question.
