Congratulations to award winning firms

The borough council has sent its congratulation to three local companies which took top accolades in the recent all-Ireland Business Awards in Dublin’s Mansion House.

Almac were the overall winners; Avondale took the food and drinks title; and Moy Park received special recognition.

Councillor Mark Baxter said that all three were large employers and typical of the go-ahead firms that proliferated in Craigavon,

He added he had written congratulating them.

Councillor Gemma McKenna said it was encouraging to the firms and to the work force – and an example for anyone wanting to start a small business.

Family owned Avondale Foods celebrates its 50th birthday next year.
