Carrick armed robbery '˜traumatic experience for staff and shoppers'
A former chairman of Mid and East Antrim Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) has condemned those responsible for an armed robbery at commercial premises in Carrick at the weekend.
In a statement, Cllr. Andrew Wilson said: “Those responsible for the attempted armed robbery of a shop in Bridewell Drive on Saturday will be rightly condemned by the community.
“Their actions will have affected staff and shoppers in the area and would have been a traumatic experience.
“It is heartening to hear that the customers in the shop at the time challenged the robbers actions which resulted in the assailant leaving empty- handed.”
“If you have information which could help the PSNI with their enquiries, please contact 101 quoting reference 972 05/01/19 or alternatively use the confidential Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.”
