Cannabis plants found during Kilrea search

Police have arrested a man and recovered cannabis following the search of a house at Bridge Street in Kilrea on Saturday, February 27.

Inspector Pete Duncan said, “The search commenced at around 11.30pm on Saturday night and around 20 cannabis plants, a quantity of herbal cannabis and equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis were recovered.

“A man aged 24 was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a number of drugs related offences.”

The male has been released on police bail pending further enquiries
