Campbellhits out atSpanish‘economicwarfare’
DUP MP Gregory Campbell says Spain should stop waging “economic warfare” against Gibraltar and has argued that it is in Madrid’s interest to come to an accommodation with British Iberia.
He said it was “the people of Gibraltar’s right to be there.”
“Economically, they could then thrive, rather than attempt to marginalise the people of Gibraltar, penalising the thousands of Spanish workers who depend on Gibraltar for their livelihoods,” said Mr Campbell.

Hide AdHe was speaking during a Parliamentary debate on relations between Spain and the United Kingdom.
It was claimed by Conservative MP, JAck Lopresti that “there were 285 unlawful incursions of Spanish state vessels into British Gibraltarian waters in the first eight months of this year.”
