Broadband speed - Have your say by August 16

Sinn Féin’s Philip McGuigan is urging local residents and businesses to respond to a DETI consultation about the speed of BroadBand in their area.

DETI are looking to identify properties that either don’t currently receive a Basic Broadband service of at least 2MBps or who are unable to receive Superfast Broadband of at least 15MBps.

Mr McGuigan said: “The closing date for this consultation is August 16 and I would encourage people to go on to to the Departments website and complete the consultation.

“There are lots of places across North Antrim that are not receiving a proper Broadband service and this needs rectified.

“It is important not only that this information is collated but more importantly that something is done to ensure that fast speed Broadband is accessible”
