Three men are being treated by paramedics at Lishally after falling from a crane.

Police received a report of an incident in the Port Road, Londonderry this morning at approximately 10am.

Inspector Colin Hamilton said: “It is reported that three men had fallen from a crane and are now being treated by NIAS.”

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 9:52am to a report of an incident at the Port Road area of Strathfoyle this morning (Thursday 20th August).

“4 Fire Appliances from Crescent Link Fire Station, one Fire Appliance from Northland Fire Station and the Fire Emergency Support Service vehicle were deployed to the scene of a report that 3 men had fallen from a crane in the area. Northern Ireland Ambulance Service are currently assessing their condition.

“There are no further details at this stage.”
