Big spring clean
On April 8th at 11am, a group will start at the convent walk Portstewart and lift the litter on the coastal path to Portrush. Helping out will be the Eco Club from Dominican College, CANCAN recycling, Patricia Magee and Marlene Gatineu from TIDYNI and other volunteers.
On April 9th at 11.30am a huge clean up of the greater Glenullin area will take place, starting at Glenullin GAA hall and covering all roads in the surrounding area into Garvagh and towards Dungiven and Limavady.

Hide AdLocal businesses in Kilrea are mobilising to organise a local litter pick too, with Mc Atamneys Butchers, Donaghy’s Electricals, Mc Auley’s Mill, Martin’s Hardware , Mc Cotter’s shop, and SMG Plumbing signed up so far!
Shops in Kilrea and Garvagh have gone the extra mile by installing deposit banks for aluminum drinks cans in their shops, encouraging people to return used cans to the shop for recycling by local charity CANCAN. A poster accompanying this project, encourages people to recycle cans to help a charity instead of littering the items.
On Saturday 26th March Boleran was treated to a Spring Clean by Errigal Boxers, PSNI and local volunteers. A massive 40 binliners of rubbish was collected, much of it recyclable! Big thanks to the young boxers who have set an excellent example.
A local group of ladies in Dunloy have for the past few weeks, been getting to grips with their local litter problem. They have already cleaned up several roads around the village. More volunteers are needed. The difference is already clear to see.
