Ballymoney Main Street receives face lift

WITH many local authorities trying to attract tourists and shoppers to their towns and cities, the visual impact of the main streets has become a very important consideration.

Tobermore Concrete have many years of experience in providing paving solutions for town centre improvement and urban renewal schemes and over the past year the company has worked closely with numerous local authorities to give facelifts to local town centre streets including most recently Castledawson, Randalstown and Railway street in Antrim.

Another of these towns is our very own Ballymoney Main Street, paved with the timeless paving brick called Tegula Cedar which gives an aged appearance to match in with the traditional style of our town.

Paving brick has become a very popular option for surfacing the pavements, as the wide range of colours and sizes enhances the appearance and brightens any urban environment. Another benefit of paving brick is that it can be easily lifted and reinstated without scarring and it can facilitate vehicle access and over-run.

Tobermore Area Sales Executive Harry Badger was delighted with the finished main street, "At Tobermore we strive to provide customers with the best quality products that also complement the existing landscaping. We chose Tegula Cedar in Ballymoney because we felt it suited the traditional style and design of Ballymoney which really is a beautiful town".

"P Bradley & Sons alongside Brian Daly of the DOE have done an excellent job in planning and finishing the main street and I hope that the local residents and visitors to Ballymoney are happy with their new street" added Harry.
