Assault accused elects for trial
A Sandholes man charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm will discover when his trial will take place on September 28th.
The case against Patrick Francis Tierney, 35, from Crossglebe, is adjourned for preliminary enquiry.
He stands accused of the ABH assault on a man on September 30th, 2014.
He is further alleged to have been in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a knife, with intent to commit assault.
At court on Wednesday, he elected to have his case heard in the Crown Court.
