Art attack at Ballysally Primary School

The art work on display was that of the 196 pupils.

Featuring many masterpieces, the art exhibition gave the parents and friends of the Ballysally pupils a chance to buy these one off pieces.

Linda Lewis, the Art Coordinator at the school told The Times: “We run this exhibition once every five years.

“The children spend time on creating their very own masterpiece, we then frame the work and put it on display in our art gallery.”

The exhibition was launched by local artist Ross Wilson, who had visited the school earlier this term to give the pupils some hints before they started their work.

The exhibition featured a huge variety of work - pastel drawings, Andy Warhol inspired prints and good old finger painting.

Linda added: “Ross Wilson came into school and spoke to the children about art, about how art was different to each and every one of us - he really inspired the pupils. We would like to thank him for officially launching our exhibition.”

Money raised from the sale of the artwork will be used towards school funds.
