Armed robbery in Lurgan

An armed robber has made off with cash after an incident last night in Lurgan.

A man with a knife went into a shop on Taghnevan Walk around 9pm last night (Tuesday).

A PSNI spokesperson said: “A man with a knife in his possession entered a shop on Taghnevan Walk.

“He demanded money and made off from the shop with a sum of cash.

“The man is described as being approximately 50-years-old, around 5ft 10in tall and was wearing a camouflage jacket with the hood up and hat underneath, black track bottoms with white stripes and trainers.”

Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime in Lurgan are appealing for information.

Detective Inspector Will Tate said: “We would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around the shop during this time or has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 1058 201015.
