Alex and Michael are stars of Winter League individual stakes
Alex’s scores were 34, 33, 32, 34, 32, 33 and 31. Joe Glass, Malcolm Russell and Sean McGreevey were all in contention, but all fell at the final hurdle.
However, Alex’s steady performances weren’t even enough to see him crowned as the highest scoring individual of the Winter League. An unbelievable 42 pointer in Round One was always going to take some catching and in the end, it was enough to see Michael Robinson (Team One) to the title with a 237 point total for the seven rounds. Joe Glass (Team Five) was second with 235 points and Brian Boyd (Team Eight) was third with 230.

Take a bow, one and all.
NORMAN DOAK IS THE TOP SCORER IN THE FINAL ROUND
There were four individual prizes up for grabs in the final round of the Winter League.
Eamon McAnarney (Team Three) won the low section with 32 points, beating second placed Kenny Arlow on countback. Neville Kerr and Alex Clarke both came close with 31 points each. Norman Doak (Team Five) won the high section with 33 points, the best score in round seven. Kieran Doherty (Team Two) was runner-up with 32 points.
That’s the Christmas dinner sorted for all four players.
