Aghalee graduate awarded top accolade

Young Aghalee woman Nicola Hull has received a top accolade in recognition of her hard as an undergraduate in the specialist branch of Biomedical Sciences, immunology.

Nicola was awarded with an Ulster Immunology Group Award recently, which honours the best undergraduates in immunology from both Queen’s University and the University of Ulster.

The student graduated from University of Ulster Coleraine with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and now hopes to start her career working in a clinical pathology laboratory. Nicola said, “I’m delighted to have received this award in recognition for my work over the past few years. Since my school years I have always had an interest in science and I really hope to begin my career in that area. I spent a year on placement in a microbiology lab which I really enjoyed and I would very much like to return to that area of work.”
