10 schools take in more kids

TEN schools across Londonderry, Strabane and Limavady were granted permission to increase their admissions numbers over the past three years, the Education Minister John O’Dowd has revealed.

In 2009/10 Roe Valley Integrated Primary School, Broadbridge Primary School, St Patrick’s Primary School in Castlederg and Thornhill College were all granted a temporary increase.

In 2010/11 Roe Valley Integrated Primary School and Oakgrove Integrated College were allowed to up their admissions numbers.

And in 2011/12 Ballougry Primary School, Greenhaw Primary School, Chapel Road Primary School and Strabane Controlled Primary School were all allowed increases/

Mr O’Dowd explained that the schools were amongst those granted permission to have temporary variations in their admissions numbers over the last three years.
