The ‘Trampoline Man’ will join an international cast including The Copenhagen Drummers from May 12-13 at the Millennium Forum. The fourth edition of the Walled City Tattoo features new matinee and evening performances and is funded by the Department for Communities.

Vladimir became a hit on the UK version of Britain’s Got Talent in 2015 when he stunned the audience and the judges with his bungling slapstick routine. But what the audience didn’t know was that this seeming amateur had in fact been a star acrobat in the Moscow State Circus from the age of 11, starring as Professor Wacko and had made an unlikely journey to the BGT stage.

After training from the age of 6, Vladimir toured with the Circus across the world. While on tour in Wales, he met his wife Debbie in Swansea and settled down there with their four children. However, tragedy struck the family in 2010 when Debbie became ill and Vladimir gave up the circus to become a milkman, using the flexible hours to work around his wife’s treatment. As Debbie’s health improved, the call of the circus came once again.

Speaking ahead of the Londonderry show, Vladimir said: “In the usual life of a professional acrobat, retirement comes after 15 years but I have been lucky enough to tour and perform for most of my life and Britain’s Got Talent was a great platform. I’m really excited to perform in Northern Ireland for the first time at the Walled City Tattoo, it’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. I hope to bring some new and exciting elements to the show, and a lot of fun!”
