NRC's '˜best business brains'

Moore Concrete teamed up with Northern Regional College to present the Moore Concrete Cup and Bursary to the best Business Studies Student at the Coleraine campus.

This year the award and bursary for £300 was presented by Nicola Mowbray from Moore Concrete to Fergal Cudden.

Fergal, who is now studying Criminology at Queen’s University, approached every module and every assignment with the same level of commitment and hard work to gain distinction grades.

Liam Frizelle was presented with the Dr Stevenson Perpetual Challenge Cup.

Liam, from Portstewart, completed the BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Business with an overall (DDM) Distinction Distinction Merit.

He e applied for and was accepted into university.

Samantha Scott completed an HND in Business with an overall Distinction.

She was presented with the Springwell Cup.

Her tutors reported that Samantha’s standard of work has been excellent from the start.

Meanwhile Bridget McIlroy received the Elizabeth Thompson Cup.

A part owner of the Magherabuoy Hotel in Portrush, Bridget achieved a HND in Business with an overall Distinction.

Presenting Bridget with her award was Julienne Elliott, Economic Development Officer from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. As part of the HND course, Bridget among her peers conducted an investigation into the demographic, Services and WiFi in Coleraine Town Centre.
