Contract awarded for new facilities at Kilronan School

The contract has now been awarded for the scheme relating to the staffroom and dining hall extension at a cost of £580,000.

Mr McGlone said, “I welcome the awarding of the contract for this much-needed building work at Kilronan Special School in Magherafelt.

“The new staffroom and dining hall extension will greatly enhance the facilities at the school for staff and pupils.

“The project will cost £580,000 and work is expected to begin next month. “I thank the Education Authority for their co-operation in helping to bring this necessary scheme about.

“I will continue to work with the school and the Education Authority to ensure the work is completed as soon as possible.”
