Conleth on way to Strasbourg!

Conleth Burns – a Year 13 Cross and Passion student - has been selected by the Rotary Club of Antrim, Derry and Tyrone to represent them in the “Rotary Youth Leadership Development Awards,” in Strasbourg this January. Conleth endured three gruelling interviews as part of the application process before finally receiving news that from the 2,500 applicants from all over the Island of Ireland – he is one of the 24 winners!

As a winner Conleth will get to enjoy a trip in late January visiting Stormont, Dail Eireann and the European Parliament in Strasbourg. He will take part in several debates in Strasbourg. He will also join over 500 students from all over Europe in ‘a day’s business’ at the EU. Ballycastle Rotary are sponsoring their representative Conleth, and he wants to say thanks to them, as well as to Mrs McCallum for “all the organising,” as Conleth put it.
