Newtownabbey men pick up treble

In April their company Technical Metals Limited (TML), based in Newtownards was awarded the Queen’s Award for International Trade.

This award was followed in June with EFQM 5 Star.

The company has now acquired the SC21 Gold award which places them in an elite group of companies in the aerospace sector.

Working in conjunction with the Centre of Competitiveness in Belfast, the award was based on five years of continuing improvement in ‘on time’ delivery and quality levels.

Commenting on the latest accolade, Group Managing Director David Sales explained: “Against a background of a global pandemic and economic uncertainty, we are delighted to be awarded SC21 Gold during these extremely challenging times.

“This award is an acknowledgement of the professionalism and skill that we apply to all elements of our business and recognition of our staff, customers and suppliers.”
