Magheralin Oil Club saves cash
Over 45 households are members of the club which is funded by the Housing Executive and managed by Bryson Energy. It is free to join and open to everyone living in Magheralin and neighbouring areas of Dollingstown and Moira - Housing Executive tenants, owner-occupiers, housing association tenants and those who privately rent. Their next order is due soon and the group is calling for more members to join.
Welcoming the first fill for the group, Social Development Minister, Mervyn Storey MLA, said:

Harry Briggs, Chair of the Magheralin Oil Buying Club, is delighted with the outcome for members after the first-fill.
He commented:
“It was great that members who ordered 500 litres of oil saved over £26 with their fill.
“The oil club is a simple premise; the more of us who buy oil together, the more we reduce the cost.”
