EUROSPAR Carrick Milestone was named Fresh Produce Retailer of the Year in the independent category at the Retail Industry Awards in London.

The shop was described as a community focal point “where people can find what they need at the same time as meeting friends or family over a cup of coffee and a sandwich”.

Judges agreed it was a “brilliant” concept, providing such a good fresh produce offering for a store its size.

Manager Jonathan Mitchell said: “We’ve been awarded for providing high quality fresh produce, for the emphasis we put on local providers, and for retaining the loyalty of our customers despite tough competition.

“We are fortunate to have fantastic staff here at EUROSPAR Carrick Milestone and this national award will spur us on to keep providing great produce and service to our customers.”
